Luis Garcia is a retired paramedic who has spent 28 years of his life saving the lives of others. In those 28 years he responded to thousands of overdose calls. Once he retired, his plan was to spend his $40,000 from savings to buy a new vehicle, but changed his mind when he heard the FDA finally approved a medication called Narcan that could save the lives of overdose patients.
Instead of buying his dream vehicle, Luis bought 800 doses of Narcan and gave them away for free. It was his way of giving back to his community. He has even started a gofundme page to raise funds to purchase more Narcan kits.
