What’s old is new again, or so it seems. We have all seen the meteoric rise of Rosanne…and it’s fall…and soon, it’s reincarnation as The Connors. I mean, it’s isn’t too far fetched to believe this show will be successful in it’s new form. I mean, they killed off Dan, yet he came back to life, somehow. Now Rosanne is gone. How successful it will be is still an unknown.
That being said, if you are old enough to remember, another reboot is coming back to TV, Murphy Brown. The entire case (minus Phil, who died. His sister, Phyllis, is taking over the bar). This is a show that was intentionally political, as opposed to Rosanne, which was situationally political. (meaning, not everything centered around politics, but family life in general). As to how this new version will play out, we will soon find out on Thursday nights.
Some people have said that the media and shows that were made to be entertainment just for an escape are getting too on-sided political, what do you think?
