Singles, are you using one of the many dating sites out there like Match, Zoosk, OkCupid, Bubble, eHarmony, Tinder, etc.? It looks like Facebook is about to help you find the love of your life (or for the moment), as they are planning on launching a dating site.
The plan is to make it private from your normal profile, so your friend won’t be able to look at your profile and see that you are seeking that man or woman of your dreams. This new app will have a similar like/don’t like feature, which will feel like Facebook, but work like Tinder, answer questions like OkCupid and eHarmony. The difference with this app, as opposed to other sites, potential matches can start conversations based on comments places on the object of their desires posts within the dating app.
The only hurdle that anyone has come across the the privacy issue. While the app will run with your Facebook profile, it will be separated. However, the recent privacy issues with the leaked user information exposed through Cambridge Analytica is the one element that it’s competitors are banking on in order to stay in business. Considering that Facebook has 2.2 Billion users, this could be the dating app singles could be searching for.
If you are looking for love, would you use this app?
