I think you’ll be happy to know the shooter Nikolas Cruz has been officially charged with 17 counts of Murder. If proven guilty he’d get the death penalty in the state of Florida. He’s also charged with 17 counts of attempted murder. So the so basically the Broward County State Attorney can take the death penalty off the table. Cruz’s Public Defender says he’d plead guilty if that happens. The Broward County State Attorney hasn’t decided yet. Family has said Cruz often has a “blank Stare” and has only admitted to showing up with an AR-15 and shooting into classrooms but has not given a reason for why he did it. Currently, the suspect is being held in Solitary Confinement.
