You hear about it in the news ever so often about a dog attacks a person on a bicycle and you see the dog and read about the situation and think to yourself, “Yep, I could see that”.
In England, Mishka is an Alaskan Malamute who was entangled in a bad situation. She was accused of attacking a bicyclist.
Again, you hear the story and assume, “Yep, here it is again.”
Except for one problem. Mishka is fat. I mean really fat. So fat that she couldn’t keep up with this bicyclist, or any bicyclist.
Sadly, Mishka was under scrutiny for being a threat of biting the bicyclist. But when she was brought into court, the British Magistrates saw that Mishka was “morbidly obese” and they also learned quickly that her demeanor was very mild and calm in stressful situations.
Because of this, the court ruled, it was not possible for Mishka to be a threat and let her go because she was too fat.
Check out the full story here, but it just goes to show you, that a little bit of weight can save your life, because you CAN’T run.
