Every year around this time, thousands of pumpkins are carved or painted and placed in front of our homes for decoration to demonstrate fall or to show off during Halloween.
This year, though, you can be different…original in your neighborhood, if you will. Try carving a pineapple. It will have that Spongebob-meets-Castaway-meets-Jason feel to it, but think about all the great compliments you will get for trying something new.
Check out some of these pics of what people are doing to give Halloween that Hawaiian feel
My personal favorite:
Granted the pineapple’s size kind of limits you on what you can do, but this is more of what you surround your new found tradition for Halloween with. After all, when you finish carving your pumpkin, you are most likely taking a picture of it. Most people don’t set a scene for their pumpkin, just the carved pumpkin the kitchen.
The pineapple, however, because it is small and portable, you could create you favorite theme and then post it…who knows, you might even be inspired to decorate the entire house for Halloween.
And for those who, like me, have no clue how to pull this fruit-feat off, there is a video for that..
And if you needed more inspiration, here are some more pics…
