Yesterday, Pat, Parker and I all went to Sub Arena in Fort Madison to take part in Greater Burlington Restaurant Week. I am so glad I went. The location was easy to find, but if you need need a map:
Jacqueline made Pat, Parker and me the #1. OMG, this was delicious. #1 for me is the bread. If the bread is light, it can totally make the sandwich…and the wheat break was light. #2,Sub Arena piled only the finest of the meats and cheeses: Ham, Bologna, Salami, Turkey, Beef, Swiss cheese, American cheesse, Pepper cheese, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Oil & Spices. Then they made my day, since I am from the South, they had a pickle on the side.
Oh ya, this sandwich was the BOMB! As you can see from the picture, it is half gone. Because it is so good, I couldn’t resist.
I was told that i need to try the #20 next time, which is Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, Swiss cheese, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Oil & Spices.
I also saw they have the #22: Reuben, Corn Beef, Sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Thousand Island Dressing. Any time you have a Reuben, you have my attention.
Jacqueline, I will be back to Sub Arena and ready to have a whole…all by myself.
