I can only speak for kitties and I can tell you that mine has worsened my quality of sleep. She’s constantly making noise and jumping on and off the bed. Generally, I’m still just concerned too, “Oh jeez, where’s the cat.”
But it must be different for dogs. New research shows that letting your dog sleep with you in the bedroom improves quality of sleep. Let’s clarify… sleep in the bedroom, not actually on the bed.
That’s the difference. Owners who let their dogs actually climb into bed with them didn’t get as good of sleep.
There’s just no physical way I can keep my pet off my bed, though. I’ll go insane trying.
