ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S® 2013
The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a united movement to reclaim the future for millions. Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Crapo Park Band Shell in Burlington. More than 200 people from South-central Iowa are expected at this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's participants will participate in a two-and-a-half mile walk and will learn more about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association. Each walker will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
On Thursday, September 12th, a Sweet Treat Bank & Registration Breakfast will be held at GRMC Klein Center, 1307 South Gear Avenue in West Burlington. Individuals who wish to join the Walk this year are encouraged to attend and register for the walk, join a team, bank funds raised to date, get ideas, register for door prizes and more. The light breakfast will be held from 7:30 – 9:30 am.
