Due to an ongoing construction project at Henry County Health Center (HCHC), Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) will move its routine blood drives from the Health Center to the E3 Center of Mt. Pleasant’s Faith Christian Outreach Church. MVRBC is the provider of blood and blood components to HCHC and has held blood drives in HCHC’s Health Education Center for several years. The Blood Center’s morning and afternoon blood drives will move to the E3 Center beginning Monday, December 3 (see schedule of December blood drives, below).
The E3 Center is located immediately east of Faith Christian Outreach Church at 1400 E. Washington St. in Mt. Pleasant. According to Chriss Heyd, Donor Relations Consultant, the E3 Center will provide a large, convenient location for blood donors with easy access and ample parking nearby. “We’re very grateful to Faith Christian Outreach Church for making their fantastic facility available for our community blood drives in Mt. Pleasant,” said Heyd. “We appreciate having access to this location while Henry County Health Center expands and improves its facility.”
To provide for HCHC and other hospitals served by MVRBC, the Blood Center holds as least two community blood drives per month in Mt. Pleasant. December’s schedule is as follows:
Monday, December 3 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. E3 Center
Friday, December 14 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. . E3 Center
Thursday, December 27 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. . E3 Center
