Hospice Tree

Nov 29, 2012 11:00am

The Hospice Tree of Love is sponsored by Lee County Health Department.  The Hospice Tree of Love is an opportunity for you to honor or remember someone in a heartwarming way while helping Hospice continue caring for persons with a terminal illness.  The Project is open to the public.  Individuals may honor or remember anyone of their choice.

A new ornament unveiled this year.

This year the ornament, On Eagle’s Wings, is a beautiful, handcrafted porcelain square shape with a majestic eagle in the center, designed by Mystic Images.  The ornament has the year 2012 on the back of the attached card.  When purchased the name of the person to be honored or remembered will be printed on a decorative tag and attached to the ornament.

The ornaments will be displayed on the Hospice Tree of Love located either in the Keokuk Area Hospital lobby or the Fort Madison Pilot Grove Savings Bank lobby (formerly FM State Central Bank) or Fort Madison Community Hospital lobby from November 29 to January 3.

Unveiling Ceremony

The trees will be unveiled on Thursday, November 29 at 11:00am in the Keokuk Area Hospital lobby, and 2:00pm in the Fort Madison Pilot Grove Savings Bank lobby and 3:00pm at Fort Madison Community Hospital lobby.  The public is invited to attend the ceremony.  Orders are due November 16, 2012 to be placed on tree for unveiling. However, ornaments can be purchased to be put on the tree until December 21.  After that date the ornaments are available to be purchased until sold out.

After the holiday season is over, the ornaments may be picked up at Lee County Health Department or at Keokuk Area Hospital, Personnel Department, or Fort Madison Community Hospital January 3-11.  If unable to pick up, the ornament can be mailed to you for $1.00 per ornament.
