n 7 p.m. — Talent show "Stronghurst You’ve Got Talent"

Saturday, June 30
At the park
n 7-10 a.m. — Sausage and biscuit breakfast, MAD MEN
n 7:30 a.m. — Registration for Fun Run “Walk Ins”
n 8 a.m. -1 p.m. — Special commemorative postal cancellation as well as centennial and quasquicentennial book sales
n 8:30 a.m.  — 1 and 3-mile Fun Run
n 9 a.m.-4 p.m. — Craft and food vendors (set up at 8 a.m.)
n 9:15 a.m. — Registration for Kids Fun Run (ages 2-10 yrs.), 1/2 mile
n 10 a.m. —  Kids Fun Run
n 11 a.m. — Children’s games, dunk tank, bounce house, banjo players

n 5:30-9 p.m. — Dew’s Diner vendor and birthday cake and ice cream at ‘The Fort’
n 6:30 p.m. — Hoot and Holler games (Honey calling, wheel barrow, shoe kicking, outhouse race)
n 8 p.m. — Community worship service (30 minutes)
n Fireworks at dark by J & M Displays. Bring lawn chair or sit in bleachers

STRONGHURST — Stronghurst is celebrating its 125th birthday June 29-July 1 with three days "packaged full of fun." A preshow warm-up is scheduled for Saturday, 10 a.m. in downtown Stronghurst with the "Foxy Ladies Kitchen Band."

Rex Martin recital
Professor of music at Northwestern University, Rex Martin has earned a reputation as one of the world’s finest tubists. He has performed recitals and given master classes in Japan, Korea, Australia, Latin America, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and throughout the United States. Rex spent the first seven years of his life in Stronghurst.  His parents, Thor and Dorothy Martin retired to Stronghurst.  Rex will be giving a recital in their honor during the 125th Celebration on Sunday, July 1 at 3 p.m. at the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church.

Kevin Boonton art
Henderson County native, Kevin Booton, known for his watercolor of the Old Covered Bridge will have an art show at the Stronghurst Senior Center, Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Kevin, owner of Booton Design and Fine Art in Springfield, Illinois created the primary logo for the 125th Celebration. He adapted this logo into a second design to be used by the USPS for the cancellation mark at the park on Sat. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the Stronghurst Post Office.
