There have been stories all over the USA about kids trying to be entrepreneurs and certain cities siting the kids or the parents for operating a business. Essentially, punishing the kids for having an inexpensive way to make money. It also teaches kids how to run a business. Even Country Time Lemonade came to the rescue. Now we have a new business getting the heavy hand of city governments being placed on kids.
Just like the lemonade stands, kids mowing lawns have come under the watchful eye of the Birmingham city council. The kids are charging between $20 and $40 per lawn, but the city is making them get a business license to cut a lawn that will cost them $110 before they start up the blade. So what gives?
