If you have an iPhone, get ready for another update. This one is called iOS12. As most of us can attest to, the update on any phone brings a bit of anxiety about usability. However, does it make any sense that Apple would add in a feature to help you break you habit of using your phone as much as you do?
It kind of does make sense, as the average person looks at their phone 150 times a day and uses it on an average of 5 HOURS A DAY!!! With those kinds of numbers you would think an intervention would be necessary to break the habit.
Enter Apple iOS12. In this update of the phone, there will be a tracker that will log every time you open up your iPhone to use it. Now you can blame your favorite app for creating the problem (thanks Facebook).
What is interesting is that Android users already have an app for that.
The question is, even if you know that you are using your phone as much as 5 hours a day, do you really care?
