According to the shooter’s Dad Antonios Pagourtzis talking to Greece Antenna TV, his son was bullied at Santa Fe High School and the pressure got to him. The father goes on to say his son, the shooting suspect, experienced “teacher-student” bullying. Pagourtzis says his son took the weapons from his closet. “My son, to me, is not a criminal, he’s a victim,” he said. “The kid didn’t own guns, I owned guns.”
“He pulled the trigger but he is not this person,” Antonios said. “It is like we see in the movies when someone gets into his body and does things that are not done. It’s not possible in one day for the child to have changed so much.”
10 students died as well as one teacher at the hands of 17 year old suspect, Dimitrios Pagourtzis and 10 were injured last week in the Texas Tragedy. Students recall him yelling “surprise” then shooting. He was wearing a trench coat (referencing the Columbine shooting in 99′) with a born to kill shirt.
“He was playing music, making jokes, had slogans and rhymes he kept saying,” student Trenton Beazely said in an interview on Good Morning America. “Every time he’d kill someone he’d say, ‘another one bites the dust.'”
In an affidavit the shooter admitted to the killings and said each one was a specific target. He also said he had intended to kill himself but lost the courage.
