I don’t know if you had ever heard that you can “neutralize” security tags with Play-Doh, but I guess it is a thing. Seems that one criminal in Massachusetts attempted to use the colorful clay to steal a number of items that had the security tags that wrapped the items he wanted to procure.
The police have explained that this method of theft wasn’t successful as they found a number of items covered in Play-Doh, but left behind. The unfortunate part of the whole attempt by the supposed thief left his finger prints in the malleable surface of the clay.
The imprints were so good they were able to find Dennis Jackson at his home and arrest him for tampering with a security device. This isn’t his first brush with the law, as he has 2 additional warrants for his arrest in 2 other states. No word if Play-Doh was involved in those other crimes.
