Avery Fuecht is an Eagle Scout from Orange County, FL. He recently finished wrapping up his Eagle Project … and this one definitely stands out.
Avery’s cousin was in a car accident awhile back. She got a teddy bear while at the hospital, and it helped comfort her tremendously. Even after her recovery, she held onto the bear.
So, Avery had a brilliant idea: he would save money and build teddy bears for other children.
Avery collected money for a year and saved all of it. He eventually bought all of the stuff he needed to make 400 bears for distressed children, meaning kids who encounter something dramatically traumatizing. Avery hand delivered them to the Orange County Sheriffs Office.
A story of compassion and caring:Avery Feucht saw a need to help children in distress and decided to take action. This Eagle Scout raised funds to create 400 teddy bears to be handed out by our deputies to any child they encounter in a traumatic situation including crime scenes. We commend this young man who is making a difference for the next generation. #actofkindess Eagle Empire District Central Florida Council Boy Scouts of America #EagleScouts
