You may know the Frank Zappa song called “Don’t Eat The Yellow Snow”
This story has less to do with eating the snow, as it does with even TOUCHING the snow.
In Britain, there is a new rule by Ges Smith at Jo Richardson Community School in Dagenham, England…don’t touch the snow. The logic they are claiming is that if the kids don’t touch the snow, they won’t throw it and no one will get hurt. He calls it “a duty of care issue”. The fear is that there may be rocks in the snow, the snowball may be too hard or someone will be offended by being hit by a snowball. So rather than banning snowball fights, they have banned snow.
British people have taken social media and have called the magistrate of the school a snowflake. These attacks have not weakened Mr. Smith resolve on the issue. The rule still stands. As to how this will play out, it has yet to be seen.
Can you imagine that rule in Iowa, Illinois or Missouri?
