If you have not heard the story of Isaac and Oliver, it is quite interesting how science can work. They are twins that are 2 years and 5 days apart.
While it sounds impossible, their mother Rachel had had a series of miscarriages and fertility treatments that didn’t work, she and her husband decided that In Vitro Fertilization was their last effort to have a family. As with many couple, IVF was successful and Oliver was born in 2014, after a number of tries. As with IVF, there is a greater chance of multiple births, which Rachel and her husband expected and decided to freeze the other embyos, one of which became Isaac, Oliver’s twin brother. To make things even more coincidental, Isaac was expected on the second birthday of Oliver, but he arrived 5 days later.
While the twins weren’t born on the same day, minutes apart, they were conceived at the same time, which does make them, technically, twins.
