We have all been there: The kid in the checkout line screaming, throwing a fit, grabbing stuff, demanding things and just being a tyrant, while the parent is doing something else, not paying attention or just doesn’t care. What do you do? Tolerate it? Ignore it? Move to another line? Try to intervene politely?
Of course, inside you are saying, “I would handle this differently, if it was my kid!” Not that you would want to do what this guy did.
James Morris’ son was wanting a candy bar while standing in line at the grocery store and continuing to ask his Dad over and over…not making a scene. That’s when a stranger stepping in and smacked the 2-year old’s hand and picked him up and spanked his bottom, as well.
A bit over the line, ya think?
As you may have guessed, the man who spanked the child was smelling like booze and couldn’t make a coherent sentence. Then the police arrived and things really got out of hand, as the man in question resisted arrest.
Thankfully, the men in blue were able to subdue the man and book him on battery and obstruction of justice. How this will turn out in court is yet to be seen. But I am sure it won’t go well.
