This is beyond cool. A construction worker names Justin Mason is keeping the Kinnick Wave tradition going even in the off season.
Typically, after the 1st quarter of every game, the crowd stands up and waves at the children and their families watching from Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
Since no games are going on, Justin wanted to do something so the kids could still see their wave.

Justin came up with an incredible idea: He spray painted a hand waving on the back of his orange construction vest.
He says he’s doing this because he understands what such a small gesture, as a wave, can mean to the children in the hospital. After all, Justin’s own son spent about 3 weeks in the hospital.
Even with Kinnick virtually empty, patients can still see someone waving at them. It’s all about taking a moment to say ‘hello’ to those watching a few levels above.
