Guadalupe Reesor is a thrift store worker from Texas who was sorting coats one day. She came across a particular black one and found something you don’t normally find in your pocket…
I don’t know about you … I typically find dollars and pennies.
Actually, the pocket contained $17,050 to be exact. Guadalupe contacted her boss and they were able to track down the woman who donated the coat: ‘Sheri’, a 78 year old widow.
Evidently, Sheri’s husband passed away in January and she donated his coat to Good Will. She has no idea there was that much money in there and she had the slightest clue as to why her late husband would hold $17,000 in his pocket.
Thanks to the good conscious of Guadalupe and the other thrift store workers, Sheri received her money back which will help quite of bit with her debt, she says.
Sheri even gave Guadalupe $1,000 to thank her and admire her integrity.
