How much would you do for a complete stranger. Honestly, the most I can really think of is just giving a homeless person a few bucks out of my pocket. I’ve spent a lot of time in downtown Detroit…
But what about someone you come across on Facebook? If I see something tugging my heart strings, I’ll politely hit the ‘Sad’ button on the post and keep moving. Is that wrong of me? I think so, if that is, I can do something to help and I just simply don’t
Lesley Tietz from Ohio must have been thinking the same thing. A few months ago, she sees a post her son shared on Facebook about a guy, 25 year old Joe Dorsey, who needed a kidney transplant.
After reading his story on Facebook, and learning that at that particular moment he still had not found a kidney, she decided to give him hers!
It was a complete success. Joe is in the hospital recovering and he hopes to continue on his career path of being a teacher. He couldn’t have done that without the pure, genuine kindness from a random stranger.
See? Not all #BullManMoments need to be literally about dudes.
