Ever been a part of a case of mistaken identity? I am sure at some point you have been mistaken for someone else…but not like this.
In Santa Rosa, CA a contractor, Gary Howard, had a bone to pick with a local lawyer and decided to take retaliation to another level. It annoyingly, started with a dead bird on the porch of the object of his ire, then it moved to the classic flaming bag of poop. From here, most of us would say, OK, we have gotten our point across (if we even bothered to go this far). But no, Mr. Howard upped his game where he pulled down a brick pillar from the home, where he had laid his “gifts”.
But wait, there’s more, as Mr. Howard escalated this quickly to setting the victim’s truck on fire. At this point, the police found who was causing this havoc and arrest Gary Howard.
So how is this a case of mistaken identity? The house that Gary Howard had been targeting was not the house of the lawyer at all. It was an innocent person. However, Mr. Howard is now being charged with Animal Cruelty, felony arson and vandalism.
