Far be it from me to talk trash about food, especially Thanksgiving dinner. But, let’s be honest, traditions need to have some kind of change. You know, people have found ways to change up the normal to be more exciting. You know, Mashed Potatoes with Garlic and sour cream, Sweet Potatoes with brown sugar, green beans, Waldorf Salad (…ok, not that one), then there is Pumpkin Pie with…ok, don’t mess with the Pumpkin Pie or someone will get hurt.
However, what about the turkey. I mean, we have it roasted, smoked and deep fried and it always tastes the same. (Not that it is a bad thing) But what else could be done to a turkey to “kick it up a few notches” to quote Emeril Lagasse’?
Well, someone has created a new way to enjoy your Thanksgiving Feast, with Flaming Hot Cheetos. Keep in mind, Flaming Hot Cheetos were created by a Janitor. While that is a great aside, that IS what makes this a fantastic Redneck meal, perfect for any home on the holidays.
You see, Flaming Hot Cheetos can be crumbled up and put them on mac and cheese (which a lot of people do to give it a nice kick), they inspired the Flaming Hot Cheetos Bagel
You get the point. So why wouldn’t you do the same thing with Flaming Hot Cheetos for your Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey. (You can even find recipes for Cool Ranch Doritos and Funyun turkey). So how do you make this work? Here is a video to enjoy the effort needed. Granted this video show how to do it with chicken, but you can do it with Turkey, so you get the point. (FYI, some bad language, so keep in mind Volume Down, as it is NSFW)
Redneck, yes, but this Turkey made with Flaming Hot Cheetos will be the talk of the holiday season…forever.
