I wonder how long this emoji has been like this. Thomas Baekdal on Twitter noticed something very different with the way the burger emojis are set-up between Apple and Google.
The Google emoji is reprehensible and I would even argue the Apple emoji isn’t too far off.
I think we need to have a discussion about how Google's burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top pic.twitter.com/PgXmCkY3Yc

As you can see, the Google burger puts the cheese on the bottom bun and UNDERNEATH THE ACTUAL BURGER! This is insanity.
The Apple burger, I think, is just weird. Who puts lettuce under the burger? One: Always keep it together with other condiments. Two: What a great way to get warm, soggy lettuce.
The proper burger set-up is as follows: Bottom bun, burger, cheese (ON TOP of burger), ketchup (get that mustard out of here), lettuce, tomato, (onion and pickles if you like to eat gross things), top bun. Fries and the deliciousness that comes with it, of course.
I worked at a place that serves the lettuce, onion, tomato and everything else first, all on the bottom bun and then placed the burger/cheese on top of it all. This is a way to get multiple burgers out of the kitchen at once without any concern for quality.
Most of the time the burger just came sliding off when you set it down and sometimes it would even land on the floor.
Also, this guy.
I think we can all agree these are both unacceptable without more 🥓
