“If you’re not first, you’re last.” Carlos Matos does not care for the words of Reese Bobby. He cares more for the lives of animals.
Carlos is a race car driver who was in first place and so close to the finish line. He came around a corner at a very high rate of speed and spotted a stray dog in the middle of road.
Without even thinking, Carlos slammed on his break and skidded to a stop right before he hit the little guy.
The stop ended up costing Carlos a victory, but he knows that victory would not have been worth it. He’s got five dogs of his own, he says, so it makes total sense why he stopped.
If I were in this situation, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I did that to a dog. Nor a kitty…
