Kindell Keyes should be known as the most honest person in the USA, right now.
Kindell is the Assistant Manager of a New York Goodwill, who happened to find a large amount of money, specifically $39,000, divided into envelops. Turns out it belonged to a 101 year old woman who had just passed away and her sons donated all of her belongings to Goodwill.
As luck would have it, while the sons didn’t know all of this cash was missing, but Kindell and her store manager went above and beyond the call of duty by tracking down the sons who made the donation of mothers goods. One of the sons, who wished to stay anonymous by just being called Bryan, flew from his home in California all the way back to New York to claim the money.
Because Bryan and his brother were so thankful for the hard work of Kindell to find them to return the money, they gave Kindell $3,900, 10% of what she found as a thank you.
The CEO of Goodwill Industries has even recognized Kindell Keyes as an example, by saying “Good behavior is recognized” and called her a “Hero”.
Bryan has even gone on to say,
“It’s just so good to know that there’s people like Kindell in the world,” he added. “It’s remarkable.”
As for Kindell Keyes,
“The money didn’t belong to me,” she said. “I believe in karma. You do good, good things happen to you, so I’m not going to keep something that don’t belong to me.”
Share this and let Kindell Keyes know that she is a hero and example to us all.
