We’ve been talking about this on the air quite a bit because it’s unlike anything anyone has ever heard of, really.
Joshua Jorgensen, the masked veteran running across Iowa. He completed his journey on Friday at Big Muddy’s in Burlington, starting all the way in Council Bluffs.
A route of over 300 miles, he ran 30-40 a day, all with a gas mask on and all to raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention.
I got mad goosebumps when I saw him kneel down next the Mississippi River, taking in the view and processing the history he’s made.
Twenty veterans a day take their lives from the effects of PTSD. Josh ran for TEAM FIDELIS, an organization focused on ending that epidemic. Please, visit their website and do what you can to help.
