We all have it happen, we log into Facebook and one of your friends has 10 political posts in a row, even though you may agree with their point of view, you are tired of seeing it? Another friend has all of those recipe gifs stacking up, or the ever popular Cat pictures (yes, you, Parker).
There comes a point when you have had enough!!!!
Before you explode and decide to unfriend the person(s) who are clogging up your feed, there is a new option…and no, it isn’t unfollowing. Sadly, up to this point, unfollowing someone has that ‘out of sight, out of mind” thing and if they are a family member, or someone close, you don’t want to lose all contact or miss out of the family pics. The new idea is the new “Snooze” button on Facebook.
What it does is merely pause the content you see from your offending Facebook feed friend. You can pause their content for a time period of your choosing. Maybe you need a week or a month’s rest. Now you can have that pause.
The good news about this new feature: it is being developed right now and could be available to you on your Facebook app, or on the web version. You can try it and see how well it works…and how well it saves the friendship.
The bad news: It is in development and may not be available on your login yet. But just know that it is on the way.
