Things we remember most.
The mistakes at the wedding.
Dropping a $3, 000 ring in a pond…
Well, maybe not dropping a ring for most of us, unless you are Seth Dixon, who was proposing to his one and only Ruth Salas.
Seth was set to have the perfect proposal. The perfect location in a wooded area, on a bridge, one one knee.
Wow, that is romantic, isn’t it.
…but wait, there’s more.
Yep, he dropped the ring…hurry, you can get it before it falls through the slats
…or maybe not.
Sadly, Seth wasn’t able to catch the ring before it fell through the slats.
Friends heard about their predicament and decided to help by jumping in the water and looking for it.
Sadly, no one could find it. So they did the next best thing, set up a GoFundMe account for Seth and Ruth.
Sadly, the account only garnered $261.
The good part is that Ruth is excited to be engaged to a
klutz….er, Seth. She is sad, however, that she doesn’t have a ring to show for it.
The great part of this story is, they will forever have this story to tell their children and grandchildren. It’s like they say, it wasn’t funny at the time, but they can now look back and laugh.
