You would have to live under a rock to not see the devastation happening in Houston with Hurricane Harvey. The loss of life, the families displaced/torn apart, the loss of life and even the pets who have been abandoned.
Ellen DeGeneres is one person who has a history of, literally, putting her money where her mouth is. This time, not only is she pledging $25,000 to the Red Cross and the SPCA, but so is the Ellen Show. This means that between Ellen and her show producers, production company and employees, they are making a $50,000 donation to help the families and the animals of Houston!!!!
Talk about making a difference. Check out Ellen’s video here.

If you would like more information on how to help with those in need in Houston (and it’s surrounding areas effected) contact the Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse and the SPCA. Monetary donations are the most helpful to these organizations, but if you feel the need to make donations of goods and services, please check with the organizations listed here to find out the specific need, before you offer goods and services.
