Jeffrey Lew of Seattle has two children in the Seattle Public School system. He was reading an article online about how school will keep track of families debt, send them invoices and eventually, cut off children from lunch due to unpaid expenses.
This infuriated Jeffrey so he set out to pay for every child’s lunch debt in the Seattle school system. It’s not an easy task at all, but he did make some serious progress. He started a GoFundMe page which currently has about $100,000 in donations!
